Kinja'd!!!

So basically I did a little video review/overview of the new MINI Clubman for my dealership. I strapped a Gopro to my face and went to town along with some kinda artsy shots. What I need from you fellow opponauts, is to watch it if you have a moment and tell me what I did right/ wrong and etc. Also I’ll be linking my professional Facebook profile, since that’s where my video is.

(Also Full discourse this is also part of a contest at my dealership to see who can get the most views so if you like it share it!)

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Also feel free to drop a like on my Facebook page as I post more jalop related stuff from time to time.

Nice touch, subdued Union Flag.

A rear view mirror one would be overkill.

It actually came from the factory like that too. There’s little union flags around the turning indicators as well. I think it breaks up the beige on the road.

Yup but they have the black union flag on them to match the mirror caps.

Is this a Mini dealership-wide thing? My Skoda (bought from Mini/BMW) got the same treatment, complete with a tech talking through its various aspects.

Pretty good. Being about the same height as you, the view from my dad’s clubman is pretty much the same in the drivers seat for me. That being said, that’s about my least favorite part about the car (sight lines) and isn’t the most flattering first person angle. In car it might be better to mount the camera along the driver’s side back window or on the passenger side front window. If you end up doing this more you can always do these silently and voice over afterwards. Just my two cents.

Overall, well done! I like the idea with the headmounted go-pro.

Maybe next time mount the camera a little lower, duck down, get the seat as low as possible, whatever, as the camera is pretty close to the headliner. I know that you are a pretty tall fella and can see that you can fit in it just fine, but the average consumer might think that the car is a bit claustrophobic. Also, when folding down the rear seats, the viewer can’t see your hands. It’s like you reach into the car and magic happens.

Keep making them, and please also keep posting them to oppo!

Actually its just my dealer group doing a contest between all of the sales people. That’s interesting though

That was kinda my next thought too. Right now we only have one go pro so I figured why not head mount. Plus we have literally no suction cup mounts so I’m going to have to break down and buy my own for more quality shots. Thank for the feedback though!

Oh I plan on it. Yeah being tall is a pain in the ass with the head mount. I’m thinking of investing in a suction cup mount and a light to get some better interior shots.

Neighbour received a video e-mailed from VW Edinburgh on his Eos before he went to look at it.

I think more and more dealerships are going the extra mile to sell their cars rather than settle on a few pics and a description with a technical table below it.

Some here and there can be tasteful but too many can be tacky.

Lol. Ye’, it’s overkill.

I love my flag but this is way too much.

It’s a nice touch, pseudo personal, and definitely an incentive to buy.

In his case the saleswoman knowing we lived 100 miles away did the video herself and was using his name making it that bit more personal.
